Dr. John Bindernagel, 1941-2018

Patch for web  Hello Sasquatch Fans of all Ages…

I have some sad news today…

Dr. John Bindernagel passed away on the night of the 17th after battling cancer for almost two years.

Bindernagel was a well-known wildlife biologist and the author of North America’s Great Ape: the Sasquatch and The Discovery of the Sasquatch.  Bindernagel was devoted and had studied and pursued evidence of Sasquatch since 1963.

I didn’t have any direct contact with him, our paths just never crossed, but other researchers who had worked with him had nothing but good things to say about him.  He was known to be kind-hearted and patient.

Bindernagel believed that Bigfoot was not given the seriousness it deserved.  He believed the way that Bigfoot was portrayed in the media dismissed the actual knowledge serious researchers had collected.  I think we can all relate to that.

He was a tremendous asset to all of us and he will be missed.  Rest in peace, Mr. Bindernagel.

Godspeed loyal readers…
